Frequently Asked Questions

Enterprise-grade uptime monitoring for DevOps

Find quick answers to common questions about account management, billing cycles, and technical configurations for StatusPulse.

General & Account Management

How do I add team members to my workspace?

Navigate to Settings > Team Management from your dashboard sidebar. Click "Invite Member" and enter their work email. Invited users will receive a role assignment link (Admin, Developer, or Read-Only) valid for 48 hours. You can manage up to 25 seats on the Pro plan and unlimited seats on Enterprise.

Can I export my historical uptime data?

Yes. StatusPulse retains 12 months of granular ping data by default. Go to Analytics > Data Export, select your date range and preferred format (CSV or JSON), and click Generate. Enterprise customers can request automated daily exports via SFTP or AWS S3 bucket integration.

What happens if I exceed my monitor limit?

Your existing monitors will continue running without interruption. StatusPulse will send a notification to your primary admin email when you reach 90% of your plan's limit. New monitors will be queued until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan.

Billing & Subscriptions

How are overage charges calculated?

Overages apply only to API request volume, not monitor count. If you exceed your monthly API allocation, each additional 1,000 requests is billed at $0.05. You can set hard caps in Settings > Billing Limits to prevent unexpected charges. All invoices are generated on the 1st of each month.

Do you offer discounts for annual billing?

Yes. Switching to annual billing applies a 20% discount to your base plan rate. The discount is prorated at checkout. If you are currently on a monthly plan, you can upgrade to annual from your Billing dashboard, and the remaining monthly balance will be credited toward your annual invoice.

Can I switch plans mid-cycle?

Absolutely. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you'll be charged a prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period. Downgrades apply at the start of the next cycle. No partial credits are issued for downgrades, but your existing monitors will remain active until the cycle resets.

Technical & Monitoring Configuration

What is the default check interval and can it be customized?

Standard checks run every 60 seconds. Pro and Enterprise plans support custom intervals ranging from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. For sub-30-second monitoring, you can deploy the StatusPulse Agent on your infrastructure, which reports metrics via WebSocket at 5-second intervals.

How do SSL certificate alerts work?

StatusPulse continuously scans the TLS handshake for all HTTPS monitors. You will receive alerts 30, 14, and 3 days before expiration. If a certificate fails validation or uses a deprecated cipher suite (like SHA-1), a critical incident is triggered immediately. Configure notification channels in Alerts > SSL Policies.

Does StatusPulse support synthetic transaction monitoring?

Yes. Our browser-based synthetic tests run via headless Chrome instances across 14 global regions. You can script multi-step workflows using our YAML-based test builder or upload custom Playwright scripts. Each synthetic execution counts as one API request against your monthly quota.
